At the mentioned of "winnings," Calico catches sight of a very large man in a suit at the edge of the crowd. His eyes were hidden by his sunglasses, but he didn't seem to be particularly festive.

[Male Juvenile Tayirramad, Sharp Beak secondary trait, Personality is Secretive.)

A reported approaches both winners to ask them about their feelings on the tournament, and what they'd like to say to the folks back home.

The Tayirramad calms down a bit, only scratching at the ground a few times as it stares at the other birds.

It eyes the other Tayirramad suspiciously for a moment, then opens its wings and flaps them a few times, spreading cinders everywhere. The flaming bird saunters over to Milo and squawks at him a few times before settling down in front of him. The grass around the roosting monster starts to smoke.

After a half hour or so, a three-foot-tall flaming bird can be seen trotting toward the bait. Tall grass smolders in its wake as it trots up toward the bait and starts to peck at it.

Damn. I was thinking vamyoru might live in the city since most old buildings have bats.

There are probably bats, just not very large blood-sucking monster bats.

The scent of burning incense is apparently agreeable to the flaming bird, as it calms down considerably as it continues to peck and scratch at the bait.

Well, Ashley is going to attempt a Nature roll for it. So foraging for monster bait more like. Foraging won't work, but I've been letting people try to craft bait with 2 uses of a cooking kit and a Difficulty 2 roll.
