Drinks All Around [LE, Open]

Mr. Drathmire is down a couple drinks at the point in the night where Calico steps out to the dance floor and-

...what is she doing- oh, it's maybe dancing...?

The man's brows raise with surprise, and he simply watches for a moment before deciding to try and contribute to her enjoyment of the night. He's just acceptable enough to not step on her toes, which is what matters?

"...Are you feeling all right?" He asks when his toes almost get stepped on.

[Calico Carter]

"GREAT!"

Orlok fluttered out to perch on her back, his wings spreading to, in part, help get more space- and also, it might be suspected, to help her stay upright.

She leaned closer for a moment.

"Not really. Clearly overdid it."

[Rayfe Drathmire]

Rayfe chuckles and offers his arm to steady her. "Well, if you had any degree of fun, I would... call it a success? You need help getting home?"

He whistles for Nyx, who snatches up her ball toy from the other table and trots over to where the wranglers are.

[Calico Carter]

"I wouldn't say no..."

Oh god.

"Hotel? You know the way?"

Of course he does you drunken idiot.

[Rayfe Drathmire]

"Yes. Orlok will make sure of it." He gives the oversized moth-like monster a firm nod. Rayfe places a handful of onz on the counter and signals they are leaving before escorting miss Calico outside. Nyx trots alongside them, on Calico's opposite side, with her fluffy body offering support.

He leads them along the sidewalks toward the hotel, keeping a watchful eye on the traffic and staying clear of any wandering monsters.

[Calico Carter]

"Done this sort of thing before, have you?"

WHY ARE YOU STILL TALKING?!

Nyx is so soft. Soft fur. Nice.

[Rayfe Drathmire]

"..." He looks over and raises a brow at her. "Made sure someone got home safe? Sure. I've done that before. When was the last time you had anything to drink before tonight, exactly?..."

Nyx LOVES the pets. She nuzzles Calico's hand and happily shares her softness.

[Calico Carter]

"About a year ago? Had enough for a glass of wine... bad wine."

She made a face.

"Half step up from grape juice."

[Rayfe Drathmire]

He chuffs with a short bit a laughter. "All right, all right... We're almost there. You're okay." He gives her a little pat on the shoulder as they walk, still keeping her steady. "You have to be. Gotta win your match tomorrow. Mm?"

[Calico Carter]

"Yeah... got BETS to win."

She blinked.

"Bets with you. But I'll be fine. Not my first night of questionable decisions made in good company! AN' the water's good in this hotel..."

[Rayfe Drathmire]

He laughs. "Good. Yes, lots of water. Orlok needs you at your best."

They reach the hotel and Rayfe steps into the lobby with Calico. Nyx paces in circles, investigating all the new sniffs of those who have come and gone throughout the day.

"You... Know your way from here?"

[Calico Carter]

"Yep."

She steadied herself with a bit of winged assistance.

"Elevator. Up. Room. Water. Lots and lots of water. Eventual sleep..."

[Rayfe Drathmire]

He gives Orlok a firm glance and doesn't let her go until he's sure one of them feels confident in locating her room.

"All right... I'm just down here in 112, if you need anything." He tosses his thumb over his shoulder to indicate the direction. "Nyx and stairs don't get along. Or elevators. Elevators might be worse..."

[Calico Carter]

"That could be messy..."

She giggled.

"See ya Nyx!"

A mock-serious expression.

"Rayfe. Give 'em hell tomorrow."

[Rayfe Drathmire]

Rayfe smirks and bows his head to her. "Yeah. You too, Calico."

He waits until her form vanishes into the elevator and he hears the chime of it heading upstairs. With one hand along Nyx's neck, he retires to his room.
