Monster Wrangler

While I fully intend to use Calico again given the opportunity, unlike L5R, or Dune, or or a lot of other settings and characters I've done, there really aren't any secrets that'd be too damaging to share (part of why this game was so much fun, being honest).

So, on the off chance anyone's still reading and has any questions- either about Calico or how I piloted her- lay 'em on me.

If not, no fuss, no muss.

Orlok calls Calico the 'Purple Human' and Blitz is 'his mate,' will the rest of the little traveling party be nicknamed by the bug?

Orlok's not all that creative, and sees the world in rather focused fashion so-

Mara: Mate's Human.
Felix: Large Male Human (he's met other male humans, but they've mostly just been humans, not meriting a capital)
Suramu, Tinder, and Dante haven't really interacted with him much up until now, and will likely just be considered (since saturnadus have been known to bunch up) fellow members of the swarm

As a bonus, since Rayfe is still basically part of the circle (I refuse to let OOC medical horseshit derail that)-

Rayfe: Medium Male Human
Nyx: Soft Perch

Milo: Small Male Human

This makes sense. Said Jinglot and now the Tayirramad both need names. Would Calico suggest any?

Also, would Calico (and co!) consider taking over Milo's ranch? That seemed an option to me too after reading the scene where y'all discuss his future as he's asleep hahaha!

If anyone has Milo questions then I'll try to address them.

She'd probably name them after characters from horror movies (that's where Orlok's name came from), but she'd need to know them a bit before suggesting anything

Calico's worry about being seen as exploting him would kick in, but if they covered it, worked out a payment plan, all of that, in a heartbeat

1. What are his big takeaways from this tournament?
2. What's his plan for the immediate future?
3. What's his plan for the long term, as far as someone so young makes that kind of plan?

GOD yes!

ALSO yes, although Calico's level of guilt about that may well be contingent on how Felix and/or Mara take to the idea. She'd still do it, though. He appeals to her on a LOT of levels.

3. How did he chance from conception to execution?
4. Obviously he and Calico get along pretty well, but who are his OTHER... let's say top three new people from this game.

No real questions or anything just putting out there that I had a great time connecting with Calico this game! Always a pleasure.

And it seems like we are treating this like a big AMA thread for everyone so if any one has any questions about Felix feel free to tag me and ask! No real secrets here even if he is reprised.

Yay for Rayfe and yay for Nyx! <3 Hey she won the tournament so she gets her special day at the race, likely separate from her traveling party (otherwise that wouldn't make the bet unique to Calico) so there's a nice opening there...!

1. Curveballs uhm... I did not know how important cooperative rolls were going to be in the events, so my flaw really kicked my butt there and discouraged me from attending any of the events. I only did the one because he had already talked to the priestess and he had planned on fighting the Chasma.

2. I think I expected to do social rolls? Rayfe had a really good Persuade and Scrutiny but never got to use them. So instead I tried to push it into RP form by having him be like... high charisma/high wisdom?

3. I think his concept was executed to most of what I expected. Although, I thought he'd be more openly detached from Nyx but she was doing so well in the tournament and all the other characters seemed to appreciate her... so Rayfe got attached faster than I expected?

4. I didn't get to interact with others too much... Ari really left an impression on him so I would have liked to hang out with Ari more. I was hoping to have a spar with Felix and Suramu. A duel between the wrangler boys would have been cool too, seeing as they were both Brawlers packing for combat.

Mara will probably even make it the painstakingly long way with two bags, ice, salt, and a lot of shaking. Whatever flavor she likes.

Wish I had more time with Fiadh. Mara would have felt quite sympathetic towards her and viewed her as an injured monster/animal needing careful time and affection.

I must have too much of a biology and ecology background since my mind goes wild wondering how structured Saturnadus swarms are versus mixed swarms.

The egg hatched so no omelette for Fiadh it's back home with a now stronger and more experienced Riki to fight his brothers. She really only came to help Riki learn as he was the youngest and smallest of his family (other than Fiadh herself) and she doesn't get along with the others as well. The desert is gonna have more fire lizard territory battles

What was the egg? Something Fiadh would eat?
