A small table was set up near the arena for the three commentators to discuss the fight and offer their commentary for the fans watching on television.

"Welcome back to The Oceanside Rumble. I'm Jason Brooks, here with Citaly Velasco and up-and-coming popstar Ashley Elle. Our third and final match of the day involves Ari versus Rayfe Drathmire. This is going to be a match between a very quick monster and a walking cheeseburger. What are your predictions, ladies?"

(Other people are welcome to post their characters watching the fights in this thread as well.)

Two contestants she'd never spoken to?

Calico, win or lose in her bout, watched with more detachment than she had the prior bout.

Still in the stands and enjoying himself, Milo cheers for the start of the next match. In this case that meant urge Ari and Llyan to do their best.

"Go for it Ari!"

"Well, it is hard to tell. I learned the hard way that size does matter, but my grandpa told me plenty of stories when he was younger about taking down much bigger monsters with just a Vespark. It will be a challenge, but we shouldn't count Llyan out."

Mara hadn't met either competitor, but she had a bit of knowledge of deluzos. They were popular with Ophidian, after all. Size isn't everything.

'Calico, what do you think? I think deluzo may have an advantage at a distance, but it's smaller horns and size make close range dangerous, unless it can outmaneuver that magnox. Though, those shocks could fry the little guy. Orlok uses psionics too? How would you handle it?'

"I think Orlok could put either one of these under in pretty short order, assuming he could keep them in range of his powers and not get clobbered before he had a chance to use them, but it looks like Ari's going for a hit and run approach, trying to win physically. I'm not too familiar with deluzo, but if Llyan gets pinned down by Nyx, that could be... ugly. Mobility seems to be the goal there."

'The illusions they make don't matter once they are already in battle. I think you're right, it'll be a matter if Llyan can keep dodging. Magnox are pretty sturdy so it may take Llyan a while to beat Nyx down. Orlok should be a good match for either one.'

'Scree?!'

'Yes, yes, you could beat either one, Talia.' The murder-chicken's chest puffed with pride. Mara cocked an eyebrow at Calico.

Without knowing if Orlok was even still in the tournament by the third match of the day, Calico's player decided to pilot her in a different direction.

Calico regarded her friend's newest companion a bit curiously.

They'd met earlier in the day, but she was still getting a feel for the taichen.

"She set up a cache yet?"

"Nice hit Llyan!" The little Deluzo was fighting smart. Milo was impressed.

"I already had to fight to get my room key back. I traded her two mismatched socks Blitz already chewed holes through, and a shiny shell from the beach." Mara pulled the key out of her pocket, the tag hanging from it had already been throughly chewed. "Anything Blitz does, Talia wants to do it better, and louder. It might be a good thing if I can get Blitz to do a few performance tricks so Talia will tag along. Her appetite is also worrisome. At least for my wallet. May need to pick up more odd jobs after this tournament."

"Hm, well, might merit some looking into. I've got some money troubles of my own..."

'I'll try and keep you posted if you are nearby if I find any place with extra openings or with positions I think you be more suited for, or Orlok for that matter. Though, if someone is looking for the services of a saturnadus... that may be a tad sketchy.'

"Oh, what a surprise counter-attack from the Magnox! It looks like the Deluzo's attempts to turn this into a hit-and-run fight have shattered atop an electrified horn of justice!"

"Tell me about it!"

Some creditors who had tried to convince her to pay off her debts on her back had also suggested using Orlok's powers to rip people off.

"Somehow a monster than can put people to sleep without leaving any trace evidence is immediately attractive to scumbags. Can't think why."

Fiadh and Riki had remained to see the final fight, although the Dragon seemed to have little interest as he was curled up on the ground. Fiadhs arms were crossed and she frowned at the ending.

They all care so much.

The fight was suddenly surprising when Llyan had been pinned by the other monster's horn. After that the electricity had made life really tough for the small monster. Milo felt disappointed for Ari, but knew he'd likely have also thought about conceding in such a situation.

Felix had been there too, no one would likely guess that he had just lost his last match. Well if not for the bandaged monster next to him. Suramu though, despite everything seemed as at ease and proud as ever. It was hard to keep the little guy down.
