Monster Wrangler

The battle between Antony Acierno and Desmond Brown begins!

The monsters begin the battle 30 ft. from their Wranglers, and 20 ft. from each other.

Monsters gain 2 Rage at the start of each of their turns. Please post your monster's current Health and Rage, as well as distance from the opponent and current status effects, in each of your posts.

You may concede on your turn, and if you have the Overprotective Flaw, you must make your roll to avoid conceding when your monster becomes Bloodied (half health) and when it takes damage while Bloodied. If you have Overconfident, you must pass your roll to concede.

If your monster is damaged past 0 Health, the opponent makes an Injury Roll to see if your monster becomes Injured.

Crystalline Growths: When a character would gain the Sickened status from one of this character's Spore Techniques, it instead gains the Bleeding status (at an equal rank).

Effortless Flight: This character does not have to spend Rage to remain flying during combat.

Machine: This character cannot gain the Bleeding, Poisoned, or Sickened statuses. It does not breathe.

Strange Light: The first time each combat this character becomes Bloodied, every other character within 20 ft. of this character becomes Stunned 3 and resets its Rage (if any) to 0.

Hard Shell – When an Opponent uses a Direct attack that targets this character, the first dice that explodes on that attack has no effect (no extra dice, but still counts itself).

Rainmaker – With ten minutes work, this character can create a rainstorm in a 1 mile radius. The storm counts as Obscuring Terrain and lasts 1 hour.

Vacuum – As a Reaction, this character can create a powerful vacuum until the start of its next turn. Characters within 40’ that attempt to move away must spend 2x normal Movement (3x for flying).

Sharp Horn – Success Values of this characters Horn Techniques are improved by 1.

A Machine first, and a rare one at that? This is going to be interesting. Probably going to have to land a really solid hit to do ANYTHING.
Off in the stands, a very vocal woman can be heard "Go Dessie! You can do it honey!"

Desmond paces around nervously. Normally he'd be using traps to prepare against anything Lucy had to fight, but he wasn't allowed to here.
So he just watched nervously (No action)

Lucy Turn
Realising the same thing as her owner, she decides to save up her energy. There's a noticeable buzz as air is sucked in, then a loud whoosh as a strong blast of air is shot at the flying machine, but it's not enough to do anything.
Breeze attack, against difficulty3 - No effect

Seeing the lack of effect, she scuttles towards a large, heavy looking rock.

Rage 2, standing 25' away from both Desmond and Rocky next to a rock.

"Ok Rock, let's give them some razzle dazzle like we planned."

The Dronnimer pulses, flashing a bright pulse of light through the stadium, illuminating the area in a harsh but not blindingly so

Lucy bides her time, building her rage.

"Ok Rocky, let's try this again!"

This time the strobe of light was brighter, like a flare had been lit.

Suddenly the strange machine glows blindingly brightly. Desmond averts his eyes and shouts to Lucy "You got this!"

Lucy's Turn
The bright light startles her, but it's not enough to change her plan. She fits her horn under the rock next to her and heaves it at her opponent with all her might. The rock smashes into the machine with a massive crash, and it falls to the ground, unmoving.
Horn Toss - 3 rage for extra dice, +1 to hit from Sharp Horn, -1 from blindness
3 damage base, plus 4 from raises (4 unspent if possible to not injure/kill) = OHKO through armour

Lucy looks around, confused and partially blinded.

Well everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth

In spite of his preparation, Rocky is just blasted by the attack. Even overconfident Antony doesn't have a fix with such a powerful one hit KO

"Come on buddy, I'll fix you up. You've done enough."

(Injury roll please)

Well, that was unexpected.

Desmond was still a little stunned from the sudden end to the battle. He walked over to Lucy, who had gone back to her usual of lazily blowing puffs of air at whatever amused her. He gave her an affectionate pat. "Good job. That was... pretty amazing. Thank you."

He turned to his opponent some what gingerly. He wasn't really sure what he was supposed to do.
"Thank you for the match. Sorry about the...uh..." gesturing at the rock that had ended the match, now resting near the fallen machine.

"I hope your monster is ok. I've never seen one like it before."
