Monster Wrangler

A small table was set up near the arena for the two commentators to discuss the fight and offer their commentary for the fans watching on television.

"Welcome back, everyone. Once again, I'm Jason Brooks, here with Citaly Velasco, and you're watching The Oceanside Rumble here on ANN. Our third match of the day involves the popstar Ashley Elle vs Fiadh, who apparently does not have a last name. I'm being told that it's not a mistake, and that she only has the one name. What are your thoughts on that, Citaly?"

"Ah yes, Fiadh, the infamous 'Wildfire Girl'. She's quite infamous in Sargaros, so it's surprising to see her outside of it, and her Maguana is as well known as she is. Meanwhile, Ashley Elle has a completely different sort of fame with her recent rise through the pop charts. It will be interesting to see if her Kleeth's constriction will have much effect on a creature so much larger... and on fire. It'll be an interesting match."

Mara was watching this fight eagerly, her staguar Blitz purring on her lap. Blitz was admittedly more interested in being pet by Mara at the moment.

There is a massive difference in size between the two. I don't know anything about Maguana and Mr Wiggles looked soft and squishy but.... some monsters tend to surprise you.

Calico winced as the cute little worm got brutalized.

Poor baby!

"You know, Citaly, my daughter Pamela is a fan of this Ashley Elle. She plays her music just... all the time. It's become the soundtrack of my life. Have you had the opportunity to listen to..."

He flinches as the little Kleeth is impaled the Maguana's horns. "Oh, that is going to leave a mark! I gotta say, that looked like a lucky blow to me. Do we even know if the Maguana can see after that light show?"

Blitz rolled, yawned showing all her fangs, then stood to look at the impact, pulling her head back and wincing dramatically at the flash.

The staguar shook her head with her eyes closed dramatically.

"Yep, that's gotta hurt, eh?" Mara whispered to Blitz., and sighed. Bad matches happen and that was a really bad match.

The medical room had been a painful experience for the medics, who had to have tournament staff assist and reassure the girl that nobody was trying to hurt her brother. Thankfully everyone got through it ok, and while Rikis eyes were still stinging a little he could see.

Fiery girl and fiery Dragon finally made their way out of the medical room and out into the main arena to sit and watch any more fights coming up.

"Listen to...? Oh!" She stared at the fight result. "Goodness, that didn't last too long, did it? Just goes to show that sometimes the bright lights only serve to make another monster angry."

"I'm hearing from the medics now... apparently the Kleeth got a bit dinged up, but he's going to pull through. That's always good to hear. You can't win every battle, but he put up a good fight, and I gotta say, he looked damned good doing it."

Mara and Blitz sighed nearly in tandem. 'He's ok Blitz!' She picked her up and hugged her close in relief. Blitz wasn't very fond of this treatment, but didn't sink her claws in.

"He did! Both of the Wranglers and their Monster did a great job here today! Congratulations to Fiadh on the win! I wonder if the loss will prove to be some inspiration for Ashley's next album? I'll be looking forward to finding out... and it sounds like you won't be able to help but find out."

Jason chuckles. "I am doomed to a life of pop music no matter what choices I make in life. Now that she's out of the tournament, maybe we can convince Ashley Elle to join us tomorrow to talk about some of the matches. If I don't get her autograph while she's here, I don't think my wife is going to let me back into the house, Citaly."

"What a great idea! I hope she'll agree to join us. In the mean time, we'll see all of you at home at the next match, which looks like it'll be an interesting one."
