A Gift For The Wounded (D2, LA - OPEN)

With the little extra money she got from the endorsement deal, she hand the money to buy an enrichment tool for Mr. Wiggles. A nice little treat once he gets released by the medics.

[Milo Whitewood]

With his match, and his participation in the tournament, out of the way Milo was also looking around the NamTech Store. He wanted to get some bait for one. He was also seriously considering what he could do to start training Diva's personality. Usually it was all well and good that she liked attention, but it seemed that during a match in front of a crowd that became a huge liability. She just didn't focus.

Diva seemed to sense her master's disappointment as she paced alongside him. As he checked the aisles she tried nudging his hand. He gave her a few half-hearted pets. He was disappointed in her, but he was glad she wasn't damaged.

"If we're ever doing that again you need to focus Diva."

The pair cross paths with Ashley checking the enrichment tools.

Ashley was looking at the ones made for vermin. She notices Milo and gives him a big, if somewhat fake, smile. "Hello."

[Milo Whitewood]

Ashley looked somewhat familiar to Milo, but he couldn't quite match the face to a name. Was she someone famous or had he just spotted her in the tournament grounds?

"Um, hi. Checking out the monster toys?" He asks a little lamely. A moment later and Diva strides over and lowers her head into perfect patting range.

[Ashley Elle]

Ashley, of course, gives Diva the pets. She vaguely wonders if a construct can feel, but it seems to like it, so that's what counts she guesses.

"Yeah. My Mr. Wiggles got pretty beat up in the tournament, so I was looking for something to make him feel better."

[Milo Whitewood]

"Oh! I must recognize you from the tournament. Sorry to hear that. Um, a good toy will definitely make him feel better." Milo replies, grasping the situation. "That's Diva. She got a little too excited in our match so I had to call a stop before she hurt someone with her cannon."

[Ashley Elle]

"Your name's Diva? Well, that's a great name." Ashley was a diva herself after all. "I'm sorry to hear about your loss. It sucks. I know. But it's really cool you put your concern for others over your own victory. My grandpa always said it's important to care about others' safety. You are a really good trainer to care about other people and Diva here." The pets continue.

[Milo Whitewood]

"I hope so. I just didn't want anyone getting hurt. Warwolves aren't liked by some people because they were used in the war. Um, I'm Milo by the way."

Diva was pushing her head into the pets and clearly enjoying both them and the attention.

[Ashley Elle]

"Nice to meet you, Milo. I am Ashley Elle. I understand what you mean. I love Vermin, but a lot of people dislike them." A lot of people of people had no taste.

"At least they weren't used for politics. That's really dangerous stuff." Being from Rosalia, Ashley had good reason to believe this.

[Milo Whitewood]

"Uhh, I don't know much about politics. I don't think so." Milo smiled and offers a hand to Ashley. "Nice to meet you too Ashley. What is your monster like?"

[Ashley Elle]

Ashley shakes his hand. "Oh. He's adorable. Mr. Wiggles is a Kleeth. They are a rare Vermin from Rosalia. My grandpa sent to me. He's my best friend." Ashley looks at the toys and frowns. "I should have done better training him." She shakes her head. "I'll do better next time."

[Milo Whitewood]

"...?" Milo wasn't sure what to say. "Um, I'm sure Mister Wiggles knows you care. That's the most important thing for a trainer... Or, that's what I think."

[Ashley Elle]

Ashley nods. "You're right. Diva here seems to be very well cared for." And Diva is still getting the pets. "Do you have another tournament in mind after this one?"

[Milo Whitewood]

The Warwolf had made no effort at all to move away. She was content to be fussed over.

"Diva would be in better condition if I could learn some mechanical stuff. I only know the basics there. Um... do you know about any other amateur tournaments happening soon?"

[Ashley Elle]

"Well, I'm going to the Summer Hinterlands Tourney next. I forgot the villages name, but the faith of Kaltia Melith is pretty strong there, so constructs are crowd favorites. It's actually a feeder tournament to Wranglemania, but doesn't really draw big competitors since considering its location."

[Milo Whitewood]

"Is it also in Arensa?" Milo asks. He didn't have a look of recognition, so it was a fair guess to say he hadn't heard about it before.

[Ashley Elle]

"Yeah. It's in southern Arsena. A little north of the peninsula. I haven't been there myself, but I've been told there's a lot of farm land in that area."

[Milo Whitewood]

"It sounds nice. Farms are pretty peaceful." Milo was certainly a country boy and not a city boy. "The Summer Hinterlands Tourney, yeah?" He gets out his phone to make a note. "I think I'll ask the AMBA officials about it when the tournament's over. Thank you."

[Ashley Elle]

"No problem." She looks down at the warwolf. "Us divas got to stick together."

[Milo Whitewood]

Diva barks cheerfully in agreement. It even surprises Milo a bit. "I think she said yes...?" He wasn't too sure so he ended up scratching his cheek.

"I hope Mister Wiggles feels better soon. Thanks for letting me take up your time. I just need to find the aisle with monster bait."
