Fight Commentary (Rayfe Drathmire vs Chandra Ellison) [D2 LA]

[Jason Brooks]

A small table was set up near the arena for the two commentators to discuss the fight and offer their commentary for the fans watching on television.

"Welcome back, everyone. Once again, I'm Jason Brooks, here with Citaly Velasco, and you're watching The Oceanside Rumble here on ANN. Our sixth and final match of the day involves Rayfe Drathmire versus Chandra Ellison. Here we have a match involving a flame-spewing plant and a delicious Magnox. Think we're going to end up watching some hamburgers get made here today, Citaly?"

[Citaly Velasco]

"Those peppers would make an amazing Magnoxtail stew... but that's getting a little grim. Honestly, it's hard for me to decide who to root for - both Monsters are so neat. The Magnox is apparently from quite a prestigious domesticated bloodline. That may not help it deal with a fire chili to the face, though."

"... It does make me wonder, if a Hergh ate a fire chili, would it throw up a fireball?"

[Jason Brooks]

Jason chuckles. "Either way, that is not a mess that I'd like to clean up, Citaly. On that note, I'm told that you've been spotted around town with a Hergh in tow. Which of these two conpetitors would you feel most confident about battling with such a monster?"

[Citaly Velasco]

"Oh, I would never make Mr. Pukeybirb fight. He has lots of other ways to keep entertained. Between the two, though... and this may be a surprising choice... the Magnox, probably. It's a little tougher, but Mr. Pukeybirb has some advantages with melee opponents."

[Jason Brooks]

"That makes sense. I'm not a monster trainer, but if it was just me out there in the field, armed with just my fists and my wits, I think I'd want to fight the Magnox as well. Though - Oh, look at that! It's electrified itself! You don't see that every day."

[Citaly Velasco]

"Indeed you don't, and it looks like Chandra's Scovine paid the price for underestimating it."

[Jason Brooks]

"It is a plant, so it's not like it has a brain. I'll be honest with you, Citaly, the anatomy of Plant monsters makes little sense to me, but fortunately, we're here to watch monsters fight and not to learn things."

[Citaly Velasco]

She was silent for a beat as she gave him a strange look, then moved on. "They are unusual, but they are looking into the possibility of using fungal growths for computers, so it's less out there than it might seem."

[Jason Brooks]

"Mushroom computers? What will the scientists think of next?" He chuckles at the idea.

[Citaly Velasco]

Citaly returned her attention to the fight. "It looks like Rayfe's Magnox has Chandra's Scovine pinned, but... oh, a clever use of Cinderfall! ... These umbrellas are fireproof, right?"

[Jason Brooks]

"I certainly hope so," he says, making sure to adjust his umbrella as stray globs of burning flame fall onto its surface. "The Magnox is really going to have to end this fight soon if it doesn't want to go up in flame. And now I'm thinking about hamburgers again, Citaly."

[Calico Carter]

Something about all of the fire in this one had Calico loitering by the snack bar she wasn't going to spend any money at instead of actually watching.
