Breakfast (D4 EM)

[Fiadh]

After previous days, Fiadh had decided to not go bug hunting. The bugs around here were weird and not good to eat. Thankfully there seemed to be plenty of fish around, and Riki after studying the other creatures doing it had gotten quite good at both catching fish and bringing them back, so with a bit of convincing Fiadh had managed to get a few fish brought back to her.

Now sat back in her circle, she sat biting the flesh off a fish Riki had caught, while Riki sat curled up by the tent a little more on fire than usual to try and become less wet.

[Milo Whitewood]

Out for a morning stroll was Milo. Diva was ranging ahead, running along the beach and periodically returning to Milo. He'd tried throwing a stick in case she wanted to play fetch, but Diva often just ran to the stick, stared at it and ran off. She had never really grasped the game of fetch unless it involved a ball.

The Warwolf spots the large fire lizard and Fiadh from a distance and begins to trot in their direction. Surely they'd notice her and be impressed? That was at least the emotion conveyed in her energetic trotting.

[Fiadh]

The flaming Dragon didn't seem to be paying any attention, just giving off far too much heat. The human however spotted something moving in her direction and was instantly on her feet, staring at it, hand slightly behind her.

She growled a small warning, which in beast translated to 'my circle'.

[Milo Whitewood]

The ignorant Warwolf didn't understand the meaning, but he did understand a growl. He stopped and wagged his tail. Then he tried rising up on his back legs and stomping on the ground in playful hops to convey his intent.

[Fiadh]

The girl looked confused. It had stopped, and was now bouncing around instead of approaching or running away. She tilted her head, as if studying it, then turned to growl in the direction of Riki. The giant flaming Dragon rose up and moved closer, leaning forward to sniff the odd metal dog.

The Warwolf sat down and raised its head expectantly. It now had the attention of a person and some big, curious monster. How great was that?! Diva was thrilled!

At the same time Milo was checking a message on his phone and hadn't yet spotted Diva attempting to greet two strangers.

[Fiadh]

Riki moved back after a moment, growling a little louder. It didn't smell like anything edible, and he didn't like it. The flames on his back growing a little more as well, which made Fiadh a bit more wary.

"What you want" she asked in human this time.

[Milo Whitewood]

The Warwolf seemed to understand this better than the growling. It repeats the excited pawing motion as its tail begins wagging once again.

[Fiadh]

Another tilt of the head as Fiadh tried to work out what it was doing.

"Maybe it broken?" She looked at Riki and growled something to the Dragon, which made a small sound in return before walking outside of the drawn circle towards the creature.

[Milo Whitewood]

Diva loped toward Riki. She began to bound around him.

Looking up, Milo spots the impending crisis and quickly starts jogging over.

[Fiadh]

When the Warwolf went to go around Riki the Dragon jumped backwards, and began to growl very loudly and threateningly. Fiadh had also taken up an aggressive stance with her bow drawn.

"Try to invade circle?" she growled, annoyed that she'd been tricked by such a creature.

[Milo Whitewood]

"Diva! Come!" The Warwolf was just about to try bounding around Riki again when she heard her name and the command to come. She turned around and raced up to Milo.

"Good girl Diva." Pets were administered to the excitable construct. "But I think you're bothering them." The Warwolf looked back to Fiadh and Riki forlornly after being told this, its tail wagging coming to a stop. Was it really true?

[Fiadh]

Fiadh had turned the bow to the voice when it spoke, not letting go of the arrow thankfully for Milo. Her eyes were narrowed.

"You send monster to take Fiadh circle?"

[Milo Whitewood]

"... Huh?" Wait, was she going to shoot him? What kind of psychopath shot someone on a public beach with an arrow?

Milo narrowed his eyes at the murderous girl. He'd seen her monster in the arena. It had looked vicious, but now it was clear exactly why. "No! Diva was exploring. Also, it's a public beach."

Maybe she was worried about wild monsters? Even so, she had a giant dragon-like monster with her. Surely not?

[Fiadh]

The bow was loosened and arrow lowered.

"My circle. No cross without ask."

She took a step back, and Milo would see what she meant. The girl had drawn a large...well, not quite circle, but large shape around where her tent and fire pit was. It wasn't big enough to block anything off and she had picked a spot away from the main part of the beach.

[Milo Whitewood]

"No, it's public property." Milo called back firmly, correcting her. "Not yours. It's not anyone's." Milo calls back, trying not to be exasperated. Fiadh was older and taller than him, but she spoke like she was raised by Staguars. Was she?

"...Whatever."

He crouched down to give Diva some pets. The weirdo girl guarding her tent didn't have to be his problem.

"Don't bother strangers Diva."

[Fiadh]

"Is my circle. Take this instead of take place in big building" Fiadh motioned back where the buildings where "as they no let Riki in. Fiadh warn, no cross into circle without ask."

She turned back to collect the fish she was eating, keeping an eye on the human. Riki had lowered himself back down to the ground.

[Milo Whitewood]

That explanation was actually pretty reasonable. Or so Milo thought. He assumed she'd just taken the spot without asking, but maybe some gave her permission? It wasn't like her monster could easily or safely stay in the stables. "Oh."

He scratched his cheek as he stood up. "Well, then I'm sorry for... jumping to conclusions."

Then he spotted the raw fish and did a double take.

Why wasn't she cooking it first?!

[Fiadh]

"People do that with Fiadh all time. Is fine."

She went to bite out of the fish and saw she was being stared at.

"My fish. Riki caught but Riki no eat today."

[Milo Whitewood]

"Um... you should cook it." Milo calls back, moving a bit closer so he didn't have to shout. He was still not close to the edge of Fiadh's circle. "It could give you a stomach ache if you eat it raw."
